I know this might not help, but I do think these are great photos. But I understand your frustration. When we had B's one year pictures taken I specifically asked for a few family shots...and we got one. One good one. I paid WAY more than just ONE good one. Hopefully everything will work out just like you want it to!
Love these! I know how you feel though...sometimes you have certain things that you want and when it's not delivered it's easy to be disappointed. I do love the ones you have shared though.
Oh I love these Erin! Perhaps since she is a friend, you could ask her for the raw photos and edit them yourself. Especially the cake ones since you only got 4.
I few things- Girl your dress your wearing in these photos is fab! J has a nice set of hair on his head- I would totally like to have it on my own head. The cake photo is so stinkin cute- I die.But I totally understand when your not satisfied your not satisfied. Get sassy and let the women know. It's only a kinda high school friend, so what's the worst that could happen? You are a paying customer- it's not like she did you a favor. Me personally? I think the photos are great!
I think they look gorgeous girl but I understand what you mean. Do you email her and ask what happened to the rest of the pics?
I'm sorry you didn't eat the photos you envisioned! I would consider myself a photo snob as well so I can understand our disappointment. The ones you posted here look great though...even if they're not quite where you wanted them. Hey, we just got a few more 1 year photos taken of Colson because I was unhappy with his other ones. Mind you, today he is 16 months old.
I'm no professional but I do think the ones that you do have look fantastic! And I can't decide if J looks more like you or your husband. I'll leave it at that he's a good mix of both of you guys. I saw your twitter post about this earlier. Did you make any decisions?
So I am just curious (I am not being difficult, friend, promise!) - what don't you like about them? Is it the setting (red door)? Depth of field (there isn't a ton to the backgrounds in some)? It sort of bugs me how the balloons are cut off, BUT I do think that they are decent. Are they the most stunning photos I've ever seen? No, but they are pretty good. I wonder if it has something to do with the setting or color scheme going on (red is kind of jarring versus a natural field, for example)? Just trying to help you hone in on what you don't like. And trust me, I have had pictures I don't love. I didn't like our 1 year shoot and re-did it, too. So I get it. But what I didn't like was that it was a gray day, so the light wasn't sunny, and I didn't like the background. Sometimes a small thing makes a big difference in whether something is visually appealing. And remember, photos are art after all - what appeals to one will not appeal to all, so you have every right not to like/love them. We can all appreciate a good picture for being a good picture, but we don't have to hang it on our wall. Perhaps they just don't align with your taste/vision this time? Either way, I still encourage you to say something :)
You are adorable, and so is Jackson! I hope the photographer responds well to your request for a re-shoot. :)
I think J is a cutie pie in the pics!
I love and appreciate every comment! Thanks for stopping by our blog today :)
