Milestones, Memories & the Makings of a Home

It's been a month of milestones around here that I've only briefly mentioned.
However, each deserve a bit more attention.

First up, our house.

Apparently, as of September 16 we've been homeowners for a year. I could have sworn we didn't close until September 23, but I was wrong. Guess that's what happens when you become homeowners and new parents almost simotaneously. Hmph. I should've referenced my archives sooner.

For the most part, projects in every room go unfinished which is my only excuse for not having shared more details. In the next few weeks, I'll share my plan to go room-by-room finishing up projects and scratching items off our list.

Here's a peek at one we've Brandon has been working on...

This bad boy is just a piece of a much bigger Backyard Overhaul. YAY!

Second milestone:

As of this week, I've been at my current job for six months
Quite frankly, I have no idea how time has passed this quickly.
Surely this opportunity has been such a blessing.

And last, and most importantly, this guy turned 18-months-old yesterday.

Currently, I'm still processing exactly how I feel about this milestone.
Most likely it'll result in a much-too-sentimental post.

How could it not?

  1. I wish my hubs was as talented as B- The wall is looking amazing! Those black and white pictures of J are so damn cute! Totally frame worthy. It sounds like these mile stones are all great things happening in your life- even J turning 18 months. It goes fast, but gets better and better.

  6. So cute and precious.

No real help with tantrums. My kids throw them. I do not give in and let them cry it out. Cuddle as needed. Not really sure if works, lol, since they still throw them!
