Mommy Brain Mixer: My Mom-Mom

Mom-guilt has weighed heavy on me over the last week. Between daycare and Jackson's ears I've felt quite defeated lately. I've doubted myself. I've questioned my actions. I've found a babysitter {grandmother} and slept until 10:00 a.m.

Refreshed and armed with a new daycare and set of tubes for the Toddler, I should feel better. Right?

In all honesty, I don't. Well, I didn't. Not until I came home Sunday to be told Jackson walked around the living room pointing to my picture saying my-mom-mom. My love for that sweet kid grew even more when Brandon told me this.

Monday, as we enjoyed the day together, my little dude looked at me, looked at his dad and then pointed to himself proclaiming, "my-mom-mom!" Just as loud and proud as ever!

I'm fairly certain my heart burst into a million mommy pieces in that moment. Before this day, he'd only whimper mama if he was extremely tired or upset. But over the last 48 hours he's walked around pointing to me and himself, repeating this little mantra.

In the Toddler Dictionary you'll find my-mom-mom defined as such:
my-mom-mom
adjective/noun/whatever-he-wants
1. The phrase which claims a toddler's mom. If mom has a rockstar moment, repeat phrase, adding emphasis by pointing to her and then back to oneself. In turn you will see many toddler treats.

It'll get you.Every.Single.Time.

Welcome to week 7 of the Mommy-Brain Mixer, ladies!
I'm Co-Hosting with Cassie this week!

Last week there was an amazing 108 link-ups! The Mixer is growing like crazy!

Ya know... the success of the Mixer has made Cassie so happy that she's offering you all an awesome deal on ad space!

For the next two days only, when you purchase one month of ANY of Cassie's ad spaces, you will receive a second month for FREE!

That's two months of advertising at Two In Diapers for the price of one! If you're in your right mind, you'll definitely want to go here to take advantage of this steal before it ends on Friday at midnight!

NOW, welcome to...

At the Mommy-Brain Mixer, we will be linking up our writings about anything and everything motherhood!

We want to see funny posts, serious posts, sweet & sappy stories, mommy-brain episodes, memories from when your older children were younger, thoughts & lessons learned, and anything related to motherhood or little people.
