Coffee Date: Weekly Truth To Fill Your Cup

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
Most days it's hard to wrap my mind around the idea that God knows me much less that He prepared good works for me in advance. Of all the people. Of all His children. Of all the things He could know and love, He chooses me. He chooses us.
He has set us apart, chosen us as His holy people. (1 Peter 2:9)

Let's build on His promise of salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). By walking in this promise, good works will spring from our actions not in seeking His approval but in authentically building His Kingdom and bringing glory to His name.
When we remain in a static place of comfort, our lives become just that - static. It's only when we break down our walls of insecurity & fear that we allow the Spirit to lead us closer to Christ. It's when we step outside of our comfort zones that we're able to act bravely in doing the work the Lord prepared for us to do.
“But be doers of the word not just hearers only, deceiving yourself. ”
— James 1:22
God doesn’t call the equipped; He equips those who He calls. Friends, He has prepared our good works in advance! His plan is good; it is sovereign.
Let's break down our walls and seek the Lord outside our comfort zone.
That's where He's calling us.
That's where we'll bloom, friends.
